This is the moment that everyone has been waiting for!  The guests get into their teams.  Prior to the party, the Sherpas will have been given everything they need to facilitate their team’s pursuit of the treasure.  This preparation is explained in the Round Instructions, in the “Scavenger Hunt Materials” and it is unique for each game.

The host will read the General Clue out loud to all the guests.  This will explain the specific rules of the Scavenger Hunt.

Two types of Scavenger Hunts could be played:

Scavenger Hunt by List

Each team is given a list of things to collect. 

Examples of collections include (but are not limited to):

·        theme- related items hidden in a designated area

·        items available in the search area, that have not been planted

·        photos of the team in various places, doing various stunts

·        pieces of information necessary to answer a final puzzle

The instructions may indicate that, once the team has collected their items, they will need to use these items to complete a final task.

This type of hunt will have a time limit.  Teams will collect what they can, and report back to the host at the end of the search.  Prizes will be awarded to each team depending on what they were able to collect (based on creativity, who collected the most, etc.)
